The Kitchen Studio Process

At The Kitchen Studio, we truly value our industry partners. We enjoy working alongside our trusted local lighting, countertop, tile, and flooring specialists who provide complimentary contracting and design services, as well as quality materials and finishes, to help to complete your project. We love to refer our customers to these partners who we trust will provide excellent products along with a high level of customer service.

Our Discovery and Design Process

Every client is unique, and every project is one-of-a-kind. Our collaborative process works to eliminate as many surprises as possible in your kitchen, bath, or home remodeling project. Learn about what to expect when you work with The Kitchen Studio.

Initial Consultation in Studio

  • Review customer floorplans or photos of spaces

  • View product samples

  • Discuss dreams, inspiration, and opportunities!

Rough Estimate Provided

  • Estimate provided based on linear footage and what most clients expect. Estimate includes delivery and sales tax. (Typically provided within 1-2 business days.)

  • Design deposit amount is then presented. Deposit is based on the size and scope of the project. (This will be applied towards your cabinetry purchase.)


Design Deposit Received

  • Appliance models, sinks and countertop selections (thicknesses) should be supplied at this time, if available.

  • The deposit received includes:

    • Professional site measurement

    • Full set of detailed drawings including 3D Renderings

    • Dimensioned cabinetry floor plan & elevations

    • 3-D renderings for red-line

    • One major revision

Design Review

  • Review layout(s), finishes, style, accessories

  • Notes will be taken to execute revision(s)

Closing Meeting (in-person or virtual)

  • Cabinetry deposit received by TKS

  • Final review of drawings and sales terms with sign-off

Order Made

  • Your beautiful new cabinetry will be ordered and go into production

Delivery Confirmation

  • An ETA will be provided at your closing. Any updates will be communicated to you as they become available.

Delivery & Installation

  • Upon receiving your cabinetry at our warehouse, you will be notified.

  • We will then contact you regarding installation and site delivery dates.
